About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Construction Lawyer to join our dynamic legal team at Jobot. This role offers a unique opportunity to apply your expertise in construction law, with a particular focus on contract negotiation and dispute resolution.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic legal advice and support to our construction teams on various issues, including contract negotiation, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate complex construction contracts, ensuring they align with our business objectives.
  • Manage and resolve high-stakes construction disputes, leveraging your expertise in litigation, mediation, and settlement negotiations.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in construction law and regulations, providing training and guidance to our teams to ensure compliance.
  • Collaborate with our legal and construction teams to develop strategies that minimize legal risk and maximize business success.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in the state.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a construction lawyer, with a strong focus on contract negotiation and dispute resolution.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction law and regulations.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and resolving complex construction disputes.
  • Excellent negotiation skills, with a proven ability to negotiate favorable terms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ongoing commitment to professional development and staying current with industry trends.
