Dermatologist Position at Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration

The Orlando VA Healthcare System's Medicine Service is seeking an experienced and dynamic Dermatologist to contribute to the achievement of quality care standards and the growth and development of a VA academic hospital program.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and analyze data relevant to the Dermatology Section and prioritize enhancing personalized, proactive patient-driven care and a culture of compliant business integrity.
- Admit, evaluate, diagnose, consult, and provide care and follow-up to patients with benign and malignant disorders of the integumentary system (skin, mouth, external genitalia, hair, and nails), and sexually transmitted diseases.
- Work towards achieving Dermatology goals in the inpatient and outpatient setting and assist the Chief of Dermatology with the clinical practice.
- Collaborate with Physicians Assistants, inpatient and outpatient consults, electronic chart reviews, outpatient clinics, telehealth clinics, trainee education, and research.
- U.S. citizenship or non-citizenship when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.
- Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
- Completion of residency training, approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in an accredited core specialty training (Dermatology) program leading to eligibility for board certification.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English.
