Position Overview:
At UNIQLO, the Loss Prevention team is dedicated to ensuring a secure shopping atmosphere for both customers and staff. The Loss Prevention Specialist is vital in managing inventory and minimizing losses. Daily responsibilities focus on safety, inventory oversight, and loss mitigation.

The Loss Prevention Specialist will report to the Loss Prevention Manager and Store Manager, acting as a key resource for protection and safety within our retail locations.


Key Responsibilities:


Educate store personnel on loss prevention and safety protocols, ensuring adherence from all team members and informing management of any infractions.

Assist the LP team in effectively identifying, apprehending, and detaining shoplifters in accordance with company policies.
Foster strong relationships with store leadership and associates.
Drive associate awareness initiatives and generate leads for internal investigations.
Emphasize the significance of proper inventory management. Investigate discrepancies and train the team on correct procedures.
Ensure understanding and compliance with shortage reduction strategies.
Collaborate with leadership to enhance the loss prevention culture.
Work alongside the LP Manager to guarantee adherence to company policies and procedures.

Conduct compliance inspections regarding company safety policies through store visits, providing guidance and training to rectify identified opportunities.

Identify potential safety or loss risks, promptly notifying management to avert incidents.
Assist loss prevention management with audits and inventory assessments.
Maintain confidentiality at all times.
Support special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:
Proficient in computer applications, including security software, CCTV systems, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Familiarity with federal, state, and local laws.
Understanding of surveillance and security equipment and their installation.
Willingness to travel to various store locations within the assigned area.
Ability to stand or walk for extended periods as required.

Physical Requirements:
Effective communication skills with customers and store staff.
Capability to perform calculations involving discounts and percentages.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Capacity to stand for prolonged periods, read computer screens, and move objects weighing at least 50 lbs.

Ability to navigate the sales floor and stockroom, including repetitive bending, prolonged standing, twisting, stooping, squatting, and climbing.
