Job Title: Recycling Theft Prevention Specialist

Job Summary:
The City of Concord, CA is seeking a Recycling Theft Prevention Specialist to protect the community's recyclable materials from theft. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with residents and businesses to prevent theft and increase the volume of recyclable materials in the recycling stream.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct surveillance to identify and deter recyclable material theft
• Work with recycling centered businesses to prevent and apprehend violators
• Issue administrative citations to violators
• Master a working knowledge of municipal codes and other applicable law
• Work alone with confidence during hours of darkness

Requirements:
• At least 6 months experience working with the public, including experience interpreting and enforcing rules, laws, and procedures
• Experience working in a law enforcement related field
• Ability to learn, apply and explain applicable laws, ordinances, policies and procedures
• Completion of the equivalent of 30 semester units of college education

Benefits:
