Job Description

Medtronic is seeking a highly skilled Principal Systems Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Surgical Operating Unit, you will be responsible for leading and participating in various aspects of product development, from definition and integration to validation of system solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform technical planning, system integration, verification, and validation
  • Evaluate alternatives, including cost and risk, supportability, and analyses for total systems
  • Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions
  • Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies

Requirements:

  • Mastery of a specialty area and full knowledge of industry practices
  • Typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience
  • Requires a Baccalaureate degree or equivalent and minimum 7 years of relevant experience
