Job OverviewWe are a busy medical office seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Austin Surgeons PLLC. Our ideal candidate will possess great communication skills and a high level of attention to detail.

This full-time position offers a competitive salary of $20.00 per hour, commensurate with experience. About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for managing tasks in compliance with our office procedures, communicating clearly and accurately with providers and patients, and ensuring that pre-authorizations for patient surgeries, radiology exams, and procedures are obtained timely. This role also involves administrative duties such as surgery scheduling, insurance verification, and obtaining pre-authorizations for patient surgeries, radiology exams, and procedures by phone, fax or online. Clinical duties include rooming patients, taking vital signs, weight, and temperature, recording in EMR, cleaning/wrapping/sterilizing instruments, assisting physicians with in-office surgical procedures, rooming and preparing patients for exams, and counseling patients about pre-op instructions.

RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you should have strong work ethic and previous medical assistant experience. Knowledge of medical office EMR systems and procedures is a must. You should also be able to travel between offices, with one remote clinic located in Cedar Park. We are looking for someone who can manage multiple tasks efficiently and maintain accurate records. Additionally, proficiency in EMR systems and surgery scheduling is preferred. Fluency in Spanish is desired but not required.
