Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Retail Banking Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our Retail Banking department, you will play a vital role in ensuring consistency across all retail processes and procedures. Your excellent communication skills and ability to facilitate effective communication will make you a valuable resource for our team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with colleagues and customers to drive business growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Assist team members with retail banking processes and procedures, including customer service inquiries, teller balancing, product information, and error resolution.
  • Stay up-to-date with bank policies, procedures, and federal regulations to provide expert guidance and support.
  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of retail banking products and services to support customer needs and drive business growth.
  • Collaborate with the Retail Banking department to develop and implement new products and services, as well as modify existing ones to meet customer needs.
  • Identify and resolve operational inefficiencies, working closely with staff to implement improvements and enhance customer experience.
  • Utilize your knowledge of financial services to develop and refer potential customers to our business development officers.
  • Participate in community events and organizations to enhance the reputation and image of BTC Bank in the communities we serve.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in business, finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience and training.
  • General understanding of the banking and financial services industry.
  • Strong ethics and confidentiality standards, with the ability to maintain confidential information and work with sensitive data.
  • Ability and desire to learn and grow in the banking profession.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong administrative skills, with the ability to develop tasks and manage resources to achieve goals.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills.
Working Conditions
  • This role operates in a standard office environment, with routine use of office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.
