Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Social Worker - MSW (Inpatient) to join our team at UNC Health Care. As a crucial member of the healthcare team, you will provide comprehensive support and services to patients and their families.

About the Role

In this role, you will conduct thorough assessments of patients' mental, emotional, and social well-being to evaluate their needs and identify any barriers to their overall functioning. You will also collaborate with providers, patients, and their families on individualized care plans that align with patients' goals, preferences, and values.

You will connect patients and their families with community resources, mental health services, support groups, and other relevant programs. Additionally, you will continuously monitor and evaluate the progress of patients' care plans to assess their response to interventions, measure outcomes, and make necessary adjustments.

As a Social Worker - MSW (Inpatient), you will advocate for patients' needs within the healthcare system and the community. You will engage in active listening to understand patients' experiences, concerns, and emotions. You will provide a safe and non-judgmental space for patients to express themselves and offer empathy, validation, and support.

You will recognize and respect the unique values, beliefs, and cultural backgrounds of each patient. You will tailor interventions and support to align with their individual needs and preferences, taking into account their cultural, social, and spiritual backgrounds.

This is a full-time position with a salary range of $32.23-$46.33 per hour. The standard hours per week are 40.00, and the work schedule is day job.
