We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team at Castle Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Chesterton. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences and ensuring the highest quality repairs.

Responsibilities
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on vehicles with efficiency and accuracy, adhering to dealership standards.
  • Test-drive vehicles and diagnose issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair automotive systems, including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and Service Advisors to provide estimates and updates on repairs.
  • Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of Service Technician experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, ASE Certification required.
  • B-level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical, and Engine Repair.
  • Dexterity, requiring a steady hand and excellent hand-eye coordination.
  • Mechanical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
  • Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies.
  • Positive, friendly attitude, with a willingness to learn and improve.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment and collaborate with teammates.
  • Valid driver's license and meet insurability guidelines.
