We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team at St. David's Surgical Hospital. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms and providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the operating room suite, including cleaning and sterilization of equipment.
- Participate in the care and cleaning of operating room equipment, ensuring it is in good working order.
- Provide instrumentation and support to the surgeon during procedures, maintaining a sterile field and adhering to strict infection control protocols.
- Assist in the management of patient care before, during, and after surgery, working closely with the Registered Nurse and other healthcare professionals.
- Prepare patients, equipment, and operating rooms for each procedure, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience.
- Maintain accurate records and reports, including instrument counts and supply management.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program or equivalent training preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
- Current certification as a Surgical Technologist, with the ability to maintain certification through ongoing education and training.
