POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a skilled VMWare Systems Engineer to enhance our virtual infrastructure across various environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in VMWare and Citrix technologies, with a focus on security and system optimization.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A degree in a relevant field or equivalent technical certification is preferred, with VMWare vSphere certification being a requirement.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in VMWare ESX and Linux operating system support.
  • Proficiency in managing Sonicwall firewalls, Active Directory Group Policies, Windows Server, SQL Server (both MS and mySQL), and Citrix environments.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Oversee and enhance our VMWare environments across multiple data centers, ensuring optimal performance for virtual servers and desktops.
  • Configure and manage Sonicwall firewalls at various locations to maintain network security.
  • Support and maintain virtualized Linux servers and their associated applications.
  • Administer and update virtualized Windows servers and related software.
  • Manage and refresh Windows virtual desktops (golden images) utilizing Citrix Provisioning Services.
  • Plan and execute server, application, and data migration projects, collaborating with stakeholders for effective implementation.
  • Engage with team members and clients to discuss technology design, project scope, best practices, and troubleshooting.
