POSITION SUMMARY:

Warehouse Operations Associates play a vital role in Transtar's distribution framework. Responsibilities include loading and unloading trucks, moving materials within the facility, and managing the loading platform using various material handling equipment such as hand trucks, hoists, and motorized conveyors. Order picking, pulling, and fulfillment are crucial aspects of this role.

This position also entails maintaining warehouse inventory and ensuring outgoing orders are accurately processed, labeled, boxed, and wrapped. The role is physically demanding, requiring individuals to spend considerable time standing, lifting, and carrying products, as well as climbing ladders to stock shelves and fulfill orders.

WORK SCHEDULE: MONDAY - FRIDAY 8AM-5PM

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Pull and fulfill stock orders for outgoing shipments.
  • Sort, label, and verify incoming freight deliveries.
  • Package finished products for shipment (including shrink wrapping, boxing, and labeling).
  • Utilize the computer system to track products and manage incoming deliveries.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
  • Ensure equipment is turned off and secured when not in use.
  • Be prepared for potential overtime work as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution environment is preferred.
  • Familiarity with materials requirement planning systems (MRP) such as AS400.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screening, physical examination, and background check.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with co-workers in meeting customer needs.
  • Basic mathematical skills for accurate task completion.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize job tasks effectively.
