Driver/Warehouse Associate Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Driver/Warehouse Associate to join our team at Marcone HVAC. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and timely delivery of merchandise to and from customers, vendors, and other branches or locations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver and transfer merchandise to and from customers, vendors, branch locations, or other locations as directed by your supervisor.
  • Accurately check all products as loaded and/or unloaded by the driver against the paperwork associated with the delivery.
  • Report any delays to your supervisor through the course of the day.
  • Check in with your supervisor before and after each departure or arrival at the branch, and after each delivery drop or pickup while on the road.
  • Follow all procedures associated with deliveries.
  • Confer with your supervisor prior to departure on proper form of payment for any COD order.
  • Secure all products in vehicle properly to prevent shifting or damage to product prior to departure and throughout deliveries as needed.
  • Perform general warehouse work as directed, including working in any and all departments within the warehouse relating to incoming or outgoing product.
  • Assist shipping, receiving, transfers, unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to packing slips.
  • Move materials and items from receiving or transfer areas to shipping areas or stock locations as designated.
  • Sort and place product on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or its GED equivalent.
  • 1 year or more experience with driving, warehousing, and related functions.
  • Satisfactory DMV report plus driver insurability.
  • Valid minimum 1-year DOT certification and state driver's license.
  • Demonstrates ability and willingness to safely operate warehouse equipment.
  • Aptitude for mathematical operations and numerical analysis.
