Electrical Apparatus Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Apparatus Specialist to join our team at Qualus Services. As a Field Service Technician I, you will be responsible for performing testing and repairs on low and medium voltage breakers, as well as installing and modifying switchgear control wiring.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performing testing on low and medium voltage breakers, including Megger, Ductor, Hi-Pot, Hi-Current, and Timing tests.
- Completing mechanical work and repairs on breakers, including tear down, refurbishment, and parts replacement.
- Installation and modification of switchgear control wiring.
- Utilizing and accurately reading meters.
- Reading schematics and wiring drawings.
- Troubleshooting circuit breaker controls.
- Testing power and current transformers, including Power Factor and TTR.
- Accurately and consistently documenting using Power DB.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent with relevant experience.
- Associate or Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Candidates must be able to perform physical activity such as pushing, pulling, lifting, and bending in all types of weather extremes.
- Candidates must be able to lift at least 30 lbs. without assistance.
- Perform regular field work both indoors and outdoors.
- Reference and complete assignments as described in applicable specifications.
- Strong interpersonal skills, communication skills, business acumen, and time management skills.
- Ability to read company manuals and reports, workplace rules and procedures; speak with poise and confidence, using correct English.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Valid Driver's license and good driving record.
