We are seeking a highly skilled Sleep Disorder Testing Specialist to join our team at The Mount Sinai Health System. As a key member of our sleep center, you will be responsible for performing all types of sleep disorder testing, including set-up and performance of nocturnal polysomnograms (PSGs) on all age groups.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct sleep disorder testing, including PSGs, MSLTs, and oximetry studies
- Apply electrodes and sensors according to accepted published standards and protocol
- Perform physiologic calibrations to ensure proper signals and make adjustments as necessary
- Document routine observations, including sleep stages and clinical events
- Implement appropriate interventions, including actions necessary for patient safety and therapeutic intervention
- Successfully completed a polysomnographic technician program
- Minimum of 6 months experience in sleep disorder testing
- Excellent organizational, computer, interpersonal, and technical skills
