Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Data Center Operations Director to oversee our sales operations, including growth objectives, executing department goals, and special projects.

The successful candidate will have supervisory experience, supply chain management expertise, and warehouse management skills.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supervising sales operations and implementing strategies to achieve business objectives.
  • Evaluating the efficiency of business procedures and applying improvements.
  • Reviewing financial information and adjusting operational budgets to promote profitability.
  • Daily onsite management of the local Plano, TX team, including purchasing, pricing, procurement, CW and document control, close-out P&L/project close-out, and inventory tracking.
  • Maintaining ongoing contact with all parties involved in order to keep up-to-date procurement information and ensure completeness and correctness of shipping documentation, quality control inspections, and other procurement-related items.
  • Working closely with the Legal, Compliance, and Accounting departments to keep track of issues, incoming and outgoing transactions.
  • Managing special projects, including supporting various business opportunities, pre-built data center racks, data center containment solutions, re-selling opportunities, and management of other internal initiatives.
  • Effectively communicating throughout the Data Center Solutions Line of Business and helping support projects and initiatives as needed.
  • Conferencing and collaborating with other departments to develop an efficient workflow that ensures customer demands are met.
  • Helping with risk mitigation for Sales Operations and the Data Center Solutions Line of Business.
  • Managing continuous improvement within the warehouse and operations functions in conjunction with the Data Center Solutions Leadership.
  • Consulting with internal customers to improve upon current logistics processes and implement appropriate corrective actions or improvements.
  • Reviewing and analyzing causes of bottlenecks, scheduling, and material management problems and implementing effective corrective action to resolve the problems.
  • Focusing on preventing and reducing unplanned schedule changes by tracking and communicating root causes to missed schedule adherence.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Logistics, or a comparable field.
  • Five to ten years of progressive responsibility in sales operations, sales support, and/or supply chain management.
  • Familiarity with the Data Center Industry.
  • A motivated, entrepreneurial out-of-the-box thinker.
  • Experience in warehouse management and procurement.
  • Proven team management experience.
  • Integrated Rack Build Experience.
  • Experience developing and implementing methods and procedures designed to eliminate customer delivery problems and improve delivery times.
  • Understanding of general finance and budgeting, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash-flow management.
  • Able to work with a high standard of performance and personal integrity.
  • Able to confer and work cross-functionally with sales teams and operations teams and with customer representatives as needed to build successful working relationships.
  • Experience using relevant data to make informed decisions and/or recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and work with a sense of urgency.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and works well in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Strong Excel and MS Office Skills.
  • Proven leadership and employee development skills.
  • Demonstrated effective planning and organization skills.

Salary Information

The estimated salary range for this position is $120,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on experience.
