Summary:Implement strategies and processes that evaluate work for acceptability and compliance with regulatory, safety, quality, and productivity standards.
Provide oversight of the day-to-day operations of the assigned Laboratory section by ensuring technical excellence while actively promoting a Lean work culture.
Responsibilities:- Gather information regarding incidents, complaints and other situations and assist manager in investigations and resolutions using tools to seek solutions and improvements.
- Perform daily oversight of Lean work environment while ensuring adherence to Lean Principles and processes. Perform standard work and metric reviews, audits and gemba walks.
- Investigate and help implement ideas that represent improvements.
- Update procedures and write new protocols. Competency checks for med techs and assays in Lab. Interview new applicants.
- Assist manager in developing section goals aligned with division and hospital goals and objectives.
At least 3 years experience in discipline Required
At least 2 years previous leadership/management experience Preferred
EDUCATIONFour-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Required
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONSMLS(ASCP) or HT(ASCP) or equivalent or certification eligible; must acquire certification within 12 months of hire date. 1 Year Req
