Key Responsibilities:
- Independently and collaboratively address client and participant-impacting incidents.
- Diagnose and replicate issues in lower development environments.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive service documentation.
- Implement industry best practices and tools.
- Ensure that code reviews, unit testing, integration, and performance testing are completed by partner teams efficiently before production deployment.
- Overcome technical challenges involving multiple technologies.
- Facilitate the delivery of technical components across onshore and offshore support teams.
- Collaborate closely with business partners and management to assess current systems and determine solutions.
- Provide technical guidance to junior team members as necessary.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or higher.
- 7+ years of experience in software development and support in Java EE.
- 5+ years of experience in PL/SQL environments.
- Experience in a scaled agile delivery model.
- Background in investment or financial services is highly preferred.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Proficiency in software development and support using Java and web application technologies in a multi-tiered architecture.
- Experience in supporting secure, high-volume complex applications for financial and retail systems.
- Strong understanding of networking and distributed computing environment concepts.
- Experience with frameworks for modern transactional and data processing applications.
- Driven by curiosity to stay updated with new and emerging technologies and apply them to business challenges.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies such as SCRUM, SAFe, Extreme Programming, TDD, etc., utilizing CI/CD and DevOps.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Prior experience working with teams in an onshore-offshore model.
