Electrical Project Manager Job Description

Apex Systems is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to oversee and manage electrical projects within our Heavy Industrial client's cement manufacturing operation. This role is based out of Roanoke, VA, and offers a competitive salary, bonus package, and relocation package.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement project plans, including scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and budgets for electrical projects.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure integrated project planning and execution.
  • Manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost control measures are in place.
  • Lead the design and engineering of electrical systems and components for new installations, upgrades, and maintenance projects.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Collaborate with the procurement team to source electrical equipment and materials.
  • Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems and equipment.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in electrical project management, preferably in the cement manufacturing or heavy industry.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations.
Work Environment:

The position may require working in both office and field environments. Regular site visits and inspections are required. Occasional travel to suppliers, contractors, or other company locations may be necessary.
