About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Cashier to join our team at the Jungle Island concession stand. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, operating a cash register, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process transactions accurately and efficiently using a cash register.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the disposal of garbage and cleaning of dishes.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer requests and concerns in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Serve beverages to guests, including alcoholic beverages responsibly, and verify minimum age requirements for purchase.
  • Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Must be 18 or over.
  • Three or more months' experience in the food service industry preferred.
  • Previous cash handling experience preferred.
  • Ability to learn to handle cash and operate a cash register and corresponding system.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a friendly, positive attitude with co-workers, managers, volunteers, and guests.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive hourly rate between $14 to $16, as well as benefits for part-time roles, including a 401(k) savings plan and 401(k) matching. Additionally, we provide one hour of accrued paid leave per 30 hours worked, up to 48 hours per year.
