Software Engineer I

Travelers is seeking a highly skilled Salesforce Software Engineer I to join our team as we continue to grow and transform our Technology landscape.
Job Summary:We are looking for a talented software engineer with experience in Salesforce development, cloud-based implementation, and technical solutions architecture. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Agile delivery, Salesforce CRM integration, and custom development.
Key Responsibilities:- Design, develop, and implement Salesforce solutions using Apex, Aura, and LWC.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and recommend technical solutions and alternatives related to the Salesforce platform implementation.
- Work independently to tackle well-scoped and loosely scoped problems, seeking opportunities to expand technical knowledge and capabilities.
- Contribute to team requirement refinement, estimation, and retrospective, ensuring appropriate artifacts are reviewed and approved.
- Ensure availability of the Salesforce platform and provide on-call support to resolve application issues when necessary.
- Three years of programming/development experience as a Salesforce developer (APEX, Aura, LWC) preferred.
- Experience in Agile delivery model.
- Experience in Salesforce CRM integration, developing and deploying custom integration solutions using APIs and API management systems.
- Certifications such as Certified Administrator, Certified Platform App Builder, Certified Platform Developer I, Certified Platform Developer II are strongly preferred.
- Experience working with distributed cross-functional/cross-organizational stakeholders.
- Experience in application of test design strategies and techniques, knowledge of test automation tools like Selenium, Playwright, Copado, and other tools.
- Experience working with CI/CD processes incorporating test automation.
- Experience with CA Agile Manager (Rally), Jira, or similar ALM tools.
- Working knowledge of automated deployment/DevOps tools and technologies like Copado.
- Working knowledge of source control management tools such as Git.
