Communication Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Speech Therapist to join our team at Salem Health Hospitals and Clinics. As a Speech Therapist, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, administering, evaluating, and providing safe speech/language pathology services to adult patient populations in all areas of the hospital.

Responsibilities
* Assess, plan, administer, evaluate, and provide safe speech/language pathology services to adult patient populations in all areas of the hospital
* Rely upon your discerning knowledge to assess, plan, administer, evaluate, and provide safe speech/language pathology services to adult patient populations in all areas of the hospital
Qualifications
* Master's degree in speech-language pathology/communication sciences and disorders required
* Clinical experience in the practice area strongly preferred
* Must hold the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology awarded by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and be licensed to practice Speech-Language Pathology in the state of Oregon
* Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire required
* Complete specialty coursework and hands-on training if working with high-risk populations including adult and pediatric feeding/swallowing patients including MBSImp
