Tanner Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our CVICU team. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide specialized care for patients who have undergone open heart surgery, vascular or thoracic surgical procedures and require intensive monitoring and nursing observations.
Key Responsibilities- Perform nursing functions and supervise other RNs, LPNs, and other assistive personnel in the performance of nursing care according to the state nurse practice act.
- Assess patient needs, plan and implement patient care, and evaluate the effectiveness of care provided.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Provide education to patients and families on health promotion, disease prevention, and management of chronic conditions.
- Georgia Registered Nurse License or Multistate Nursing License.
- Healthcare Provider (CPR) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
- ACLS certification within 6 months of hire into ED, ICU, Surgery, PACU, L D, SSU if taking GI call, or Cath Lab.
- NRP certification within one year of hire into Nursery and L D.
- PALS certification within one year of hire in PACU.
- 1 year ICU experience preferred.
