Fitness Coach

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Personal Trainer to join our team at the Butler County Family YMCA. As a Personal Trainer, you will be responsible for instructing, supervising, and reinforcing proper strength training procedures, as well as providing guidance on good nutrition and behavior modifications necessary for a healthy lifestyle.

• Instruct participants in strength training principles, training guidelines, and exercise techniques consistent with the YMCA's training philosophies and ACSM national guidelines.
• Provide support and guidance to program participants and members to help them achieve their health and wellness goals.
• Maintain a working knowledge of wellness trends and provide effective information and support to members.
• Build effective relationships with members and help them connect with each other and the YMCA.
• Observe and adjust approach to support all participants' capabilities, physical conditions, health, and culture.
• Celebrate achievement of program participants related to program or personal goals, mastering of specific skills, or overall health and well-being.
• Maintain accurate records of participants.
• Attend all staff meetings and approved trainings as required.
• Maintain a neat, safe, and clean environment in the specific training areas.
• Follow YMCA policies and procedures, including those related to medical and disciplinary situations, child abuse prevention, and emergency procedures.
• Be a good role model for participants to emulate.

Ability to perform all physical aspects of the position, including walking, standing, bending, reaching, and lifting.

Work schedule will include daytime, evening, and weekend hours, and ability to travel to all program sites.
