Job Title: Broadband Specialist IV, Maintenance

Mediacom Communications is seeking a highly skilled Broadband Specialist IV, Maintenance to join our team. As a key member of our technical operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining the health and integrity of our HFC plant, ensuring seamless service delivery to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular system tests to ensure optimal signal quality and network performance.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on the HFC plant, including trunk amplifier setup and changeouts.
  • Install and maintain power supplies, electronics, and other equipment as needed.
  • Troubleshoot and repair coaxial and fiber distribution system issues.
  • Prepare estimates for projects and provide bill of materials as required.
  • Work with a variety of tools, including hand tools, splices, and wire.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless service delivery.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record required.
  • Minimum of 6 months' experience as a Broadband Specialist III or equivalent cable technician experience.
  • Knowledge of HFC plant, installs, and service calls.
  • Ability to work in high or tight spaces, and at various heights.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and overtime as required.
