The Old Colony YMCA, a leading community-focused organization in Massachusetts, is seeking highly skilled Swim Instructors to join our team. As an Aquatic Fitness Coach, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality swim instruction aligned with the YMCA's rigorous curriculum standards.

Our ideal candidate possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling them to effectively engage with swimmers and caregivers. You must be able to maintain accurate records of participant progress, ensuring seamless communication regarding expectations, skill development, and next steps.

  • Demonstrate expertise in providing comprehensive swim instruction that fosters confidence, friendships, and skills among participants
  • Cultivate a collaborative environment within the aquatics team, promoting active recruitment and retention of participants
  • Develop strategic connections between swim instruction and other Y programs, fostering pathways for members to engage with various offerings

To succeed as an Aquatic Fitness Coach, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Be at least 16 years old
  • Possess a valid CORI check
  • Hold CPR/AED and First Aid certifications or be willing to obtain
