We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at TAD PGS, Inc. in the Laurel, MD area.

Job Summary

This contract position involves designing and developing Computer-Aided Design (CAD) models and drawings of foam tiles using Creo Parametric software. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical engineering, excellent problem-solving skills, and experience with Geometric Dimensions and Tolerances (GD&T).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create accurate and detailed CAD models and drawings of foam tiles
  • Apply Top-Down Design (TDD) methods to ensure seamless integration of tile interfaces
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement design solutions
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices in CAD modeling and design for manufacturing and assembly (DFMA)
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in CAD modeling and design
  • Proficiency in Creo Parametric software and GD&T per ASME Y14.5
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
