Job Title: Utility Worker - Housekeeping

ASM Global is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Utility Worker - Housekeeping to join our team at the Fresno Convention & Entertainment Center.

Job Summary:

The Utility Worker - Housekeeping will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to guests, vendors, participants, and colleagues. This role will work closely with a team of housekeepers to ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the facility, including restrooms, offices, seating areas, lobbies, and outside venues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service to guests, vendors, participants, and colleagues.
  • Work with a team of housekeepers to ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the facility.
  • Perform general maintenance and janitorial duties, including cleaning and maintenance of back of house areas, garages, workstations, and equipment.
  • Conduct general machinery cleaning, washing, mopping, and spot cleaning.
  • Maintain supply rooms and equipment in an orderly fashion and use equipment and supplies as instructed.
  • Complete tasks in a timely manner with a high regard to quality.
  • Keep Supervisor and Manager informed of the status of work orders.
  • Maintain a safe, secure, and sanitary work environment.
  • Notify management of any safety or hazards concerns.
  • Work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
Requirements:
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of related work experience.
  • Ability to read, write, and fluently communicate with others and colleagues.
  • Good written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of staff, including management.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Requires ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, in addition to normal hours.
  • Presents a professional appearance and positive work ethic.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
  • Required to climb stairs, ladders, and use of other similar equipment.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. unaided.
  • Required to stand for long periods of time.
  • Required to work in inclement weather environments.
