Job Title: Assembler Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Assembler Technician to join our team at our Poway facility. This is a temp-to-hire position that requires a stable work history, preferably in a manufacturing environment, and mechanical assembly experience or assembly/production experience. The ideal candidate will have experience using various power tools, calipers, torque wrench, and measuring in millimeters (mm).

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble shocks as directed according to approved drawings or other visual aids
• Assemble hose assemblies
• Clean and prepare parts and sub-assemblies for assembly of shocks
• Assemble accessory kits and assemble small parts for inventory
• Perform visual and mechanical inspection of parts, sub-assemblies, and assemblies for defects and other quality issues
• Use of various tools such as calipers, torque wrench, grinder, and other hand tools
• Bring quality issues to the attention of lead and/or supervisor for further direction
• Maintain a safe working environment by complying with all safety and environmental policies in the workplace. Advocate for and promote a safe work environment by reporting Near Misses and/or other safety and environmental hazards, wearing all required PPE, and encouraging others to do the same
• Ensure compliance and safety of all activities within the organization standards and policies
• Be able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Requirements:

• Mechanical assembly experience
• Assembly/production experience
• Use of power tools
• Use of calipers
• Use of torque wrench
• Measurement in millimeters
• Detail-oriented
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Safety-conscious
• Team-oriented

Work Environment:

This is a fully on-site position in Poway, California. The work environment is a mix between a manufacturing and R&D environment. The ideal candidate will work a 4-10 schedule with Monday-Thursday, with Friday off. Standard hours are 6am-4:30pm Mon-Thurs. There may be a potential for overtime on Friday when workload demands.
