Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the cleanliness of the facility, including interior and exterior areas, to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Remove trash and debris from various areas of the facility in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Perform all tasks safely, efficiently, and accurately to maintain and improve the performance of the facility.
  • Provide leadership and embody the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.
  • Participate in and actively support all plant initiatives, including inspections and zone audits.
  • Operate equipment associated with trash removal and material handling equipment.
  • Clean facility structures, including racking, windows, walls, and floors, to ensure safe and quality products.
  • Clean the exterior of the plant and grounds to maintain a positive image and ensure a safe environment.
  • Complete miscellaneous master sanitation tasks to maintain a clean and safe facility.
  • Follow established programs, policies, and practices to produce safe quality foods that meet regulatory and company requirements.
  • Support the development, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of the SQF 2000 Systems.
  • Accountable to the Kroger Manufacturing Food Safety and Quality Principles.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Ability to work from heights
  • Flexible to work any shift as needed
  • Basic computer knowledge and skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines with limited supervision
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Strong oral/written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail, with high degree of accuracy and precision
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years manufacturing experience
  • Participate in and actively support all plant initiatives
  • Ensure trash is removed from operation and support department areas in a timely manner
  • Organize and define tasks with minimal supervision
  • Participate in inspections and zone audits
  • Operate equipment associated with trash removal
  • Operate material handling equipment
