Job Title: Maintenance A2 Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance A2 Mechanic to join our team at International Paper. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting equipment issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of our production facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform preventative maintenance activities, including lubrication, measurement, and calibration of equipment
  • Complete emergency and breakdown maintenance tasks to support plant operations
  • Perform electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and steam system repairs and installations
  • Accurately use measurement and test equipment to diagnose and repair equipment issues
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas and complete assigned tasks in a timely manner
  • Accurately and completely prepare and maintain maintenance records and other paperwork
  • Work independently and as part of a team to achieve maintenance goals
  • Follow all safety rules and practices to ensure a safe working environment
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years' mechanical experience or equivalent education/trade school experience
  • Advanced electrical knowledge, including the ability to read and interpret wiring schematics
  • Advanced knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Strong mechanical skills and aptitude
  • Ability to conduct, maintain, test, and repair electrical/electronic components
  • Ability to use a laptop to read, interpret, analyze, modify, and create ladder logic
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings, blueprints, and schematics
  • Ability to climb overhead structures, work beneath machines, and in close quarters
  • Ability to work independently in a mature and professional manner
