Position Summary:

Krystal Biotech, Inc. is in search of a highly skilled Facility Maintenance Technician to become part of our innovative manufacturing team. The Technician will be tasked with executing preventive maintenance, diagnosing issues, and performing repairs on a variety of electrical and mechanical systems utilized in our production processes. This position demands meticulous attention to detail and a steadfast commitment to ensuring optimal facility performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems, including motors, generators, pumps, HVAC systems, control panels, and lighting.
  • Identify and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, electrical failures, and system discrepancies to determine root causes and implement effective solutions.
  • Execute repairs and replacements of defective electrical components, wiring, circuits, and related systems to ensure safe and efficient operations.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to prioritize and address maintenance requirements impacting production.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of maintenance activities, including schedules, repairs, and parts utilized, using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) or other designated tools.
  • Ensure adherence to safety regulations, electrical codes, and industry standards while servicing systems and equipment.
  • Assist in planning and executing equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications, including electrical wiring and control system integration.
  • Comply with company policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to uphold quality and compliance standards.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in electrical technology or a related field is preferred.
  • Relevant experience as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing environment, particularly within a regulated industry.
  • HVAC experience is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes, safety practices, and industry standards applicable to biopharmaceutical manufacturing.
  • Proficient in using tools, equipment, and testing devices commonly employed in electrical maintenance and repair.
  • Able to read and interpret technical manuals, electrical schematics, and engineering drawings.
  • Must be hands-on and self-motivated.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage with individuals at various organizational levels.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the capacity to prioritize tasks in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
