Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is seeking an experienced Emergency Department Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Responsibilities:- Provide Prescribed Medical Treatment: Administer medications, treatments, and other interventions as prescribed by physicians to patients with various physical and behavioral problems.
- Document Patient Care: Accurately document observations, assessments, and changes in patient condition, as well as provide a full range of nursing care to patients with various physical and behavioral problems.
- Collaborate with Healthcare Team: Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to facilitate positive patient care outcomes and ensure seamless communication.
- Assessment and Care: Assess and care for patients with a wide range of physical and psychological diagnoses and with a wide range of treatment modalities.
- Operative/Invasive Procedures: Care for patients undergoing operative/invasive procedures, including insertion and maintenance of peripheral lines and central lines for administration of intravenous fluid.
- Special Precautions: Care for patients requiring special precautions such as isolation, including insertion and troubleshooting of urinary catheters.
- Documentation and Communication: Complete and accurate documentation of care, on time, according to facility/unit policies, and communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Phlebotomy and Bedside Testing: Perform phlebotomy and bedside testing as needed.
- On-Call Status: May be required to work on-call status at the discretion of the Nurse Manager.
- Experience: Must have at least 3 years current experience in an emergency department or major trauma center emergency room with no more than a six-month gap working in that setting.
- Education: Must be a graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by the appropriate State-accrediting agency.
- Certifications: Preferred to have the Certification of Emergency Nursing (CEN) through the Board of Certifications for Emergency Nurses (BCEN). Nurses with Acute/Critical Care Nursing (CCRN) certifications through the American Association of Critical Care Nurses Certification Corporation (AACN) with ED experience will also be considered.
- Licensure: Must have an unrestricted registered nurse license from any state (United States).
- Salary: The salary for this position is $47.71 / hr.
- Vacation: Eligible for vacation time.
- Federal Holidays: Eligible for federal holidays.
- Sick Days: Eligible for sick days.
