Truss Assembler

Millard Lumber Inc is seeking a skilled Truss Assembler to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for assembling wall and truss components on a production table or automated line.

• Assemble building parts on a production table or automated line for Truss and Walls
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as required and assigned
• Measure product or length of boards by marks on sorting table or with measuring tape
• Ensure assembled components meet established quality standards
• Rotate through all the tasks required in a particular production process
• Lift and handle dimensional lumber of varying sizes and lengths
• Loads/stacks finished materials on carts and/or pallets
• Understand and observe all safety procedures & practices in order to prevent injury to self or co-workers

• High School Diploma or GED
• Tape measure experience
• Previous experience in construction, framing, truss assembly desirable with a variety of hand (hammer) and power tools (nail gun/saw)
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and physical
• Work morning/evening hours during week and required weekends and overtime
• Maintenance of regular attendance

Work is in a warehouse setting and performed within a production environment, subject to temperature variations, hazardous chemicals, mechanical parts, increased noise levels and dust. Must be able to safely squat, bend, climb, lift/carry up to 64 lbs., push/pull up to 60 lbs. Grasp, talk, hear, standing/walk for prolonged periods.
