Responsibilities of Registered Nurses (RNs)
  • Administer medications as ordered by physicians
  • Provide physician-ordered treatments, including:
    • Nutrition via a feeding tube
    • Tracheostomy care
    • Suctioning (nasal, oral, and/or endotracheal)
    • Ventilation care
    • Seizure assessment and treatment
Requirements for Registered Nurses (RNs)
  • Current, active Florida RN license
  • Current BLS CPR card (obtained in-person, not online)
  • G-tube, trach, vent experience, or willingness to train
  • TB Skin Test (PPD) or TB Blood Test (QF)
  • Alzheimer's training (2-hour DOEA-approved course, provided at no cost if needed)
  • 1-hour DOEA Alzheimer's video (provided free of cost on DOEA website)
