We are currently seeking a Staff Scientist to oversee a research laboratory. In this pivotal role, you will manage research initiatives, support various scientific endeavors, and mentor laboratory personnel. Additionally, you will ensure adherence to safety regulations and laboratory protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate and execute operational guidelines and protocols for the laboratory.
- Establish strategic objectives for the lab, initiate new research projects, and identify potential funding opportunities.
- Conduct independent research and collaborate with fellow scientists.
- Gather and analyze data, prepare manuscripts for publication, and remain informed about ongoing research in your discipline.
- Oversee laboratory staff, including recruitment, training, and performance assessments.
- Engage in teaching, grant applications, and present research outcomes at scientific conferences.
- Perform additional tasks as necessary to fulfill the role's responsibilities.
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. or M.D. is mandatory.
- A minimum of 36 months of Postdoctoral Research Fellow experience is required.
Skills:
- Expertise in your scientific area.
- Proficient in data analysis, relationship building, and effective communication.
- Skilled in drafting technical documents, grant proposals, and presenting research findings.
- Detail-oriented, capable of managing stress, and meeting deadlines.
Working Conditions:

- Environmental: May encounter chemicals, biohazards, and other materials.
