Requirements for Sushi Chef

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sushi Chef to join our team at Crew Life at Sea. As a Sushi Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality sushi dishes to our guests.

Key Qualifications
  • Recent graduates or students in post-secondary education outside of the U.S. or those who have graduated within the last 12 months.
  • Alternatively, individuals with a degree or professional certificate from a foreign post-secondary institution and at least 1 year of prior related experience outside the U.S. or 5 years of experience in the field.
  • Minimum age of 18 with intermediate to advanced English skills.
  • Passport with a minimum validity of 2 years from the date of application.
  • Reference letter from a university.
  • Documentation confirming the accreditation status of the university.
  • Document verifying current academic status from the university.
  • University diploma (if applicable).
  • Strong work ethic, positivity, and trustworthiness.
  • Full availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Prior experience in a high-volume restaurant, preferably a fine dining establishment.
  • Ability to remain calm under increasing demands, consistent in presentation, and receptive to coaching and feedback.
  • Ability to walk or stand for long periods of time.
