Nuclear Medicine Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our Imaging Team at Hca Florida Oak Hill Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic and therapeutic technical procedures utilizing radiopharmaceuticals. Your primary focus will be on providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our imaging services.
Key Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic studies on patients using scanners or scintillation cameras to detect radiation emitted and produce images of organs on photographic film.
- Prepare radioactive isotopes for administration to patients in accordance with physicians' orders, and administer and record dosages as needed.
- Position patients and adjust immobilization devices to ensure accurate and safe imaging procedures.
- Compassionately explain procedures to patients and address their concerns to ensure a positive experience.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient information using computerized documentation systems.
- Assist with transporting patients as needed.
- Graduate of a Nuclear Medicine program.
- AART (NM) and/or CNMT Certification.
- Current American Heart Association Certification in Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association.
- Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.
