Nuclear Medicine Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our Imaging Team at HCA Florida Oak Hill Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic and therapeutic technical procedures utilizing radiopharmaceuticals. Your primary focus will be on providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our diagnostic imaging services.
Key Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic studies on patients using scanners or scintillation cameras to detect radiation emitted and produce images of organs on photographic film.
- Prepare radioactive isotopes for administration to patients in accordance with physicians' orders and administer and record dosages as needed.
- Position patients and adjust immobilization devices to ensure accurate and safe imaging procedures.
- Compassionately explain procedures to patients and address their concerns to ensure a positive patient experience.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient information utilizing computerized documentation systems.
- Assist with transporting patients as needed.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- State License Nuclear Medicine.
- Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB).
- Vocational School Graduate.
