The Production Supervisor is a key member of the Pregis team, responsible for directing and supervising activities of a production team and shift/department. Key Responsibilities

  • Drive company goals by communicating expectations, planning, monitoring, and evaluating flow of production.
  • Effectively manage labor to meet plant labor productivity & cost goals by coordinating work schedules, staffing requirements, and production sequence.
  • Monitor production activities, identify problems, and troubleshoot causes to develop solutions.
  • Plan and manage daily, weekly, and monthly objectives, communicating them to employees to ensure alignment.
  • Create, train, monitor, and evaluate team on safety, quality and standard operating procedures.
  • Train and understand of all existing and any new production equipment – create and/or review training documentation to ensure it's up to date and accurate.
  • Troubleshoot processing techniques and production machinery and provide solutions for continuous improvement.
  • Accurately record, communicate, and maintain required documentation in timely manner.
  • Analyze and submit daily reporting on performance and progress as it relates to production, quality, safety, staffing, and regular maintenance duties.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in relevant field.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • 5+ years' experience with a minimum 3 years' experience working in a supervisory position.
  • Strong Background in manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook is required, with some knowledge of Microsoft Word/PowerPoint.

Work Environment

The Production Supervisor will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with frequent standing, stooping, squatting, up to 75%. Occasional lifting, pushing, pulling (up to 50 lbs.) may be required. Frequent typing/keyboarding/preparing documents, voice-assisted as needed.
