Manufacturing Engineer Opportunity at Dr. Brown's

Dr. Brown's, a prominent producer of infant feeding solutions, is embarking on a significant transformation aimed at boosting operational efficiency and addressing the increasing demand for our products. We are in search of a dedicated Manufacturing Engineer who is enthusiastic about refining processes, enhancing manufacturing systems, and implementing automation technologies. In this role, you will play a crucial part in modernizing and expanding our production capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster a culture of ongoing improvement and work collaboratively with diverse teams to ensure efficient operations
  • Assess manufacturing workflows, material logistics, and handling systems for enhancement and waste reduction
  • Examine current assembly processes to pinpoint bottlenecks, inefficiencies, safety issues, and opportunities for automation
  • Collaborate with various teams to create a roadmap for automation initiatives
  • Lead the design and execution of process enhancements, new manufacturing techniques, and equipment
  • Educate staff on new machinery and operational procedures
  • Monitor key performance indicators and measure the effects of process modifications
  • Contribute to the creation and upkeep of technical documentation

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline
  • 3-5 years of experience in a Manufacturing Engineer role with an emphasis on automation
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and quality assurance principles
  • Familiarity with automation technologies, including robotics, PLCs, and sensors
  • Experience in process evaluation, optimization, and equipment design
  • Strong project management capabilities and effective communication skills with cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency in CAD software for designing automation systems and components
  • Background in the consumer goods or packaging sector

Having insight into the specific challenges and opportunities within your industry can be beneficial for this position. Occasional travel may be necessary for vendor interactions, training sessions, and conferences. Consistent and dependable attendance is expected.
