Role Overview:


The primary responsibility of this position is to design, procure, install, repair, and maintain both analog and digital broadcast equipment, along with IT systems associated with network operations and broadcast signals.

Key Responsibilities:
- Implement technical strategies and vision.
- Consult on internal projects, researching and recommending cutting-edge technology solutions.
- Abstract and apply new technologies while communicating processes effectively.

Collaborate with the network's engineering team and the division's technology team to establish state-of-the-art technical facilities.

- Ensure all equipment complies with FCC regulations.
- Stay informed about competitive trends and emerging technologies.

Monitor and report on departmental progress and technical projects, translating feedback into actionable insights.

- Mentor team members and respond to requests for tools and resources.
- Identify solutions through process improvements or new equipment purchases.
- Evaluate solutions for cost efficiency in implementation.
- Act as the technical quality supervisor for studio productions, live events, and remote feeds.

Adjust and integrate all components of mobile production equipment as required for events, including cameras, lenses, and video servers.

- Understand and maintain broadcast transmission systems, including audio, video, and fiber optics.

Comprehend video and audio file formats for post-production and IP delivery.

- Participate in evaluating and recommending technical solutions.
- Fill in for various production roles as needed (e.g., camera operator, graphics, replay).
- Assist with basic operational training when necessary.
- Availability for nights, weekends, and variable schedules as required.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Computer Science, or relevant production experience.
- Proficiency with video technologies.
- Familiarity with Digital Rights Management.
- Experience with MPEG2 Transport Stream.
- Strong communication skills, capable of articulating complex issues clearly.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities, adaptable and proactive.
- Ability to prepare and present information to executive-level audiences.
- Experience driving large trucks and/or towing.
