Position Title: SIC Rigging Foreman

Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled Rigging Foreman to oversee operations from our office, focusing on various projects across multiple states. The ideal candidate must be prepared for travel and possess a strong background in rigging and hoisting operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and set up hoisting apparatus for the installation of structural steel components.
  • Secure steel elements to hoisting cables using appropriate rigging methods.
  • Communicate effectively with equipment operators to ensure precise lifting and placement of steel structures.
  • Utilize tag lines to guide steel members into position.
  • Adjust and align steel components while supported by hoisting devices.
  • Employ tools such as turnbuckles and jacks to achieve final positioning of steel members.
  • Ensure proper alignment of holes in steel members for bolting or welding.
  • Check vertical and horizontal alignment using levels and plumb bobs.
  • Temporarily secure aligned members until permanent fastening is completed.
  • Modify steel components as necessary.
  • Identify and respond to hazardous conditions on-site.
  • Maintain regular attendance and be prepared for significant travel as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Completion of all required safety and job training programs.
  • Adherence to safety and quality protocols established by the company and clients.

Physical and Job Site Requirements:

  • Ability to utilize personal protective equipment and lift weights up to fifty pounds.
  • Work environments may include offices, warehouses, and outdoor sites with exposure to various elements.
  • Capability to access diverse job sites, including elevated and confined spaces.
  • Physical stamina to meet the demands of the role, including prolonged standing and bending.
  • Proficiency in operating all necessary tools and equipment safely.
