Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nursing Department Manager to join our team at Fairfield Nursing & Rehabilitation. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the nursing department and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Augment floor staffing as needed to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Develop and implement resident care plans in coordination with physicians, medical directors, and outside consultants.
  • Manage nursing staff through hiring, training, evaluation, assignment, and delegation of duties.
  • Review and ensure proper resident charting and procedure documentation.
  • Ensure timely availability of equipment, supplies, and resources for nursing staff.
  • Complete necessary assessments and maintain a working knowledge of infection control procedures.

Requirements:

  • Licensed Nurse in good standing with the State Nursing Board.
  • Significant technical experience and demonstrated leadership/management skills.
  • Geriatric nursing background and restorative care philosophy.
  • Excellent professional skills, including assessment, hands-on care, and communication.
  • Working knowledge of nursing home regulations.
