Position: Family Financial Officer
Objective: To deliver tailored assistance to our members across all facets of member services and consumer lending.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute standard member service operations, including:
- Address members' inquiries, issues, and concerns, serving as a liaison with other departments to ensure seamless resolutions.
- Manage account openings and closures.
- Issue temporary checks, cashier's checks, bonds, and VISA debit cards.
- Facilitate deposits, loan repayments, and check orders.
- Assist members in setting up online account services and resolving online issues.
- Handle stop payments and check copy requests for share draft accounts.
- Guide members in completing payroll deduction and direct deposit forms; establish payroll distribution amounts.
- Process IRA transactions, including transfers, withdrawals, and member inquiries.
- Inform members about beneficial products and services, ensuring they are aware of their eligibility.
- Greet members in the lobby and escort them to the Family Financial Officer office, as well as to the teller line for cash transactions.
- Explain loan programs to members, assess their needs, and recommend suitable loan options, including credit life and disability, GAP, and extended warranty when advantageous.
- Perform duties as a consumer loan officer, including:
- Interviewing applicants, analyzing members' financial situations, and assessing risks associated with extending credit.
- Preparing and reviewing loan documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Establishing loan terms and conditions and discussing them with members.
- Assisting collectors with loans that are less than 45 days overdue.
- Approving loans for other Loan Officers and Family Financial Officers within established lending limits.
- Reviewing the Courtesy Pay Report on a weekly basis.
- Maintaining NMLS Designation in accordance with Safe Act Policy.
- Registering with the State Commissioner of Insurance.
- Performing additional duties as assigned.

- Make informed credit decisions.
- Maintain a professional appearance and dress appropriately.

Qualifications:
Minimum of six months to two years of relevant experience.
Education:
A high school diploma or GED is required.
Interpersonal Skills:
Demonstrated courtesy, tact, and diplomacy in interactions. The role involves personal contact with others, typically regarding routine matters, necessitating effective communication and relationship-building.
Technical Skills:
Proficient in using a computer keyboard and ten-key calculator by touch.
