The Downstream Operator is a critical role in our Aseptic Production team, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our packaging lines. This position requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, quality control, and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and maintain packaging equipment, including accumulators, diagraphs, lasers, casers, cappers, straw applicators, shrink wrappers, and elevators.
- Conduct quality checks and troubleshoot issues to ensure product quality and compliance with GMP standards.
- Perform Autonomous Maintenance (AM) on equipment to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Document and maintain critical parameters to ensure efficient production and quality control.
- Operate a forklift safely and efficiently to move materials and products.
- Participate in improvement efforts to enhance processes and reduce waste.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- General mechanical skills and knowledge of food industry processes.
- Ability to read and interpret MSDS sheets and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
This position is primarily located in an office environment, but may occasionally be exposed to wet and varying temperature conditions, loud noise, moving machinery parts, airborne particles, and allergens.
CompensationThis position offers a competitive hourly rate of $19.50-$26.00, with opportunities for bonus payouts based on production targets.
