Job Title: Patient Service Subrogation Specialist

At PracticeTek, we are seeking a highly skilled Patient Service Subrogation Specialist to join our Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) department. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely follow-up on patient accounts receivable, working closely with attorneys to maximize dollars recovered for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process patient statements for assigned clinics, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Review and reconcile patient statements for insurance and posting transactions.
  • Provide timely and accurate feedback to medical billing clients affecting subrogation patient balances.
  • Generate monthly reporting analysis for assigned clients and management.
  • Maintain goals and benchmarking statistics for assigned clients, adhering to department deadlines.
  • Identify, report, and address department backlogs swiftly to Department Team Lead/Management.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality according to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Escalate negative implications related to accounts receivable to clients and/or management.
Requirements:
  • Service experience is required.
  • Experience with medical billing, insurance follow-up, and subrogation (relating to Auto and Personal Injury cases) is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills are required.
  • Ability to multi-task and deal with high volumes of incoming calls and processing high volumes of patient statements.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Outlook, Teams, Adobe, Salesforce, ShareFile is preferred.
  • Prior experience in chiropractic billing, especially with ChiroTouch, is a plus.
