Position Overview:

The Radiology Intervention Specialist III is responsible for executing both routine and advanced interventional radiology techniques, ensuring high-quality imaging for healthcare professionals involved in patient care. This role requires independent operation, utilizing sound clinical judgment and expertise to perform procedures safely and accurately, thereby facilitating timely and precise diagnostic outcomes.

Building trust and rapport with patients and their families is essential, achieved through thorough assessments, vigilant monitoring, and clear communication. Compliance with all applicable regulations and standards is mandatory to maintain patient confidentiality and safety while providing exemplary care.

Job Description:

EDUCATION:

Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program recognized by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT).

CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:

Must possess CRT-Certified Radiologic Technologist certification upon hire.

ARRT - Radiography certification is required upon hire.

Radiology Fluoroscopy certification must be obtained within 180 days if mandated by the affiliate.

BLS - Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification is required upon hire.

TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:

A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the field.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

In-depth understanding of interventional diagnostic methodologies, procedures, and equipment, with experience in emergency response and trauma situations.

Ability to conduct standard interventional examinations, alongside a foundational knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.

Strong organizational and time management skills, with the capacity to prioritize tasks effectively while adhering to established protocols and scientific methods.

Proficient in various computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and relevant healthcare information systems (Radiology Information Systems (RIS), Laboratory Information Systems (LIS), Electronic Health Records (EHR), EPIC, and Picture Archive and Communication System (PACS)).

Demonstrated ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team, managing multiple responsibilities in a dynamic environment.

Competence in identifying and resolving standard issues by selecting appropriate solutions from established options.

Commitment to safeguarding the privacy of each patient's protected health information (PHI).

Ability to foster collaborative relationships with colleagues and other healthcare professionals to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
