Amergis Healthcare Staffing is in search of a dedicated Interventional Radiology Specialist to undertake a range of intricate and specialized tasks essential for operating radiographic machinery to facilitate vascular and neuroradiology angiographic and interventional procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute specialized tasks related to the operation of radiographic equipment to produce specialized radiographs of specific body areas, adhering to radiation safety protocols.
Assist the radiologist during angiographic and interventional operations.
Operate fluoroscopic devices.
Position patients for rapid sequence imaging during the administration of contrast media.
Prepare sterile trays and other necessary equipment while practicing sterile techniques.
Support the radiologist during procedures, which includes managing instruments, operating and monitoring equipment, and notifying the physician of any changes in patient condition.
Load power injectors with contrast media and prepare for administration.
Process imaging films, organize them in sequence, and label them appropriately. Maintain the film archival system.
Coordinate patient procedures based on referrals from physicians' offices.
Manage patient billing for procedures and supplies.
Maintain accurate patient records and statistical data.
Oversee scheduling and patient flow;
Comply with Amergis policies, rules, and procedures.
Perform other assigned duties as necessary.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Successful completion of a 24-month AMA accredited Radiologic Technology program
Current state licensure or certification, as required by state regulations or contract specifications
One (1) year of experience in Interventional Radiology is preferred.
Current BLS certification.
Successful completion of the Amergis Healthcare Staffing testing process.
Current physical examination, if mandated by state regulations or contract specifications.
Current TB test or chest X-ray.
