About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager to lead a multi-year program from concept through execution. As Amazon continues to scale and add complexity, our Finance Technology organization will build new processes and tools to automate financial transactions and reporting.

This TPM will work hand in hand with our engineers to define the architecture across dev teams, and with our customers across Tax, Accounting, FinOps, AWS, Retail, Transportation, and others to define and orchestrate scope, work streams, timing, milestones, and communication plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop program vision and timelines, and gain buy-in for that vision across senior leadership
  • Lead validation of ideas and feedback to refine the program vision
  • Develop program governance, communication, roadmaps, and milestones
  • Codify requirements across multiple customers into a single program and roadmap
  • Drive program management and engineering resources in the design, development, and launch of new products
  • Work across cross-functional project teams to enable the successful launch of the program
  • Own and develop a communication plan that includes regular reviews with customers and leadership

As a member of the team, you will help re-imagine the finance, accounting, and tax world, which has largely remained the same for 25 years even as Amazon has expanded quickly.

Basic Qualifications
  • 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
  • 3+ years of software development experience
  • 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
  • Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes, and coordinating release schedules
  • Bachelor's degree
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of project management disciplines, including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
  • Experience managing projects across cross-functional teams, building sustainable processes, and coordinating release schedules
  • Experience defining KPIs/SLAs used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
